"Love Behind the Linden Tree" is a long term photographic project exploring queer identity through the lens of Romanian folklore and rural tradition.

The series reimagines rural spaces as places where queer intimacy, tenderness and desire have always existed, even if they were never represented or acknowledged. Rather than framing queerness as something modern or imported, the project places it within cultural memory and continuity.

Visually, the work combines traditional Romanian garments, rural landscapes and everyday village life with intimate and symbolic moments. Fields, rivers, barns and courtyards become settings for gestures of closeness, vulnerability and community. Together, these images construct an imagined queer village that feels both historical and contemporary.

The project is currently in a research and community building phase. Participation is grounded in conversation, consent and mutual trust.

"Dragostea in spatele teiului" este un proiect fotografic pe termen lung care exploreaza identitatea queer prin prisma folclorului si a traditiei rurale romanesti. Seria reimagineaza spatiile rurale ca locuri in care intimitatea, tandretea si dorinta queer au existat dintotdeauna, chiar daca nu au fost niciodata reprezentate sau recunoscute. In loc sa trateze queerness ul ca pe ceva modern sau importat, proiectul il plaseaza in continuitatea memoriei culturale. Vizual, lucrarile combina portul traditional romanesc, peisajele rurale si scenele cotidiene cu momente intime si simbolice. Campuri, rauri, suri si curti de sat devin cadrul pentru gesturi de apropiere, vulnerabilitate si comunitate. Impreuna, aceste imagini construiesc un sat queer imaginar, atat istoric, cat si contemporan.
